Tunnels and other anticipations
We're currently investigating resonating chambers around the US for future interventions. In our research, we have come across several sites that seem particularly hazardous if our planet were to encounter the audio lasso there. We'll shortly update this list with more details, so please check back!
The Dandelion Tunnel
Wisconsin
Set in the middle of Wisconsin farmland, this tunnel is an unexpected site. Originally built for single track railway passage, it was abandoned before it was completely finished.
Green Tile Tunnel
Pennsylvania
This nicely preserved rail tunnel in rural Pennsylvania lies in a secluded valley surrounded by densely wooded hills. The acoustic qualities offered by the masonry make this an intriguing choice.
Turtle Tunnel
Pennsylvania
A very remote wildlife habitat with a profusion of turtles. We hope that any audio lassoes passing through here would not be louder than a trickle.
Musical Steam Tunnel
New York
When the pipes in this utility tunnel begin to hum, it's easy to detect phantom echoes of old familiar melodies.
Tunnel of the Broken Teeth
California
Passages in underground bunkers can have startling acoustic properties, in this case leading to grainy photos. The exterior of this site in Northern California is marked by ivy-covered ruined pillars, rising from the ground like cracked teeth.
The Austere Tunnel
New York
Tall and plain, this tunnel may lack the nuances required for convincing sound transmissions.
Pilgrim Tunnel
New Jersey
This storied passage beneath a suburban residential area occasionally draws curious locals who imbue it with morbid legends.
